Warranty Coverage
SurfThing, LLC warrants that all new desktop and laptop systems are free from defects in materials and workmanship under normal use and service for a period of two (2) years from the original date of purchase (the “Warranty Period”).
During the Warranty Period, if the product fails under normal operating conditions due to a defect in materials or workmanship not caused by misuse, abuse, accident, unauthorized modification, or improper installation, SurfThing will, at their discretion:
- Repair or replace the defective hardware component(s) at no cost to the customer.
- Provide free return shipping, including a pre-paid ground shipping label and, if needed, a shipping box.
Return Process
To initiate a warranty claim:
- Contact SurfThing Customer Support. You must first contact SurfThing to troubleshoot and confirm the issue.
- If a repair is necessary:
A prepaid return shipping label will be provided via email.
If you do not have the original packaging, SurfThing will ship you a suitable box and return label at no charge. - You must package the product securely to avoid further damage during transit.
Repair Turnaround
SurfThing will complete the repair and ship your system back within five (5) business days of receiving it.
Data and Software
- If the failure involves an SSD or storage device, SurfThing will make reasonable efforts to recover your data, but SurfThing does not guarantee data recovery.
- SurfThing strongly recommend regular data backups to an external drive or cloud service.
- SurfThing will reinstall any original simulation software that was pre-installed by them at the time of shipment.
Exclusions
This Limited Warranty does not cover:
- Damage due to misuse, negligence, modification, or unauthorized repair.
- Cosmetic damage or normal wear and tear.
- Loss or corruption of data.
- Software not originally installed by SurfThing, LLC.
Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, SurfThing, LLC shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, including but not limited to data loss, downtime, or loss of revenue.
Transferability
This warranty is valid only for the original purchaser and is non-transferable.
